Madeleine Elisabeth Peccoux's artistic practice includes formal documents, installation, performance, photography, printmaking, text, and video. Her work always begins with a question, confusion, or longing that is transformed into an action or gesture. She considers the creative process as important as the final material outcome.
"In her practice, [Madeleine Elisabeth Peccoux] seems to draw no boundaries between life and art, between an immaterial idea and a material outcome. The works have no clear beginning or end . . . .The word-of-mouth effect her artworks have on her environment becomes part of the work, a kind of mythology that’s being created as the work evolves . . . .Madeleine explores her own boundaries and the potential of her life (and ours) through her art." (Bette Adriaanse, writer and visual artist).
